This mini wall quilt is a study of color and textures in forest greens.
In this quilt, I wanted to capture many variations of rejuvenating greens while also considering textures found in the woods: moss, algae, lichen, leaves dripping with raindrops, dappled light, shadow and reflection. This quilt is pieced, quilted and embellished entirely by hand.
Techniques: Appliqué, reverse appliqué, hand-piecing, couching, hand-quilting, embroidery.
Batting is cotton. Binding is hand-stitched
Pocket hangers on the back for easy wall hanging.
Care:
If necessary, hand wash sparingly in cold water using gentle, pH-neutral detergent. Air dry. To keep colors from fading, hang in a place out of direct sunlight.
