This wall quilt is a textural and improvisational study inspired by what can be seen in the sky at various times of day and night. It’s made of four blocks, each with a different approach to improv-piecing, tied together literally and figuratively by the lyrics to ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’. Themes of romance, clouded intuition, pure unconditional love, curiosity, new life, wonder, and the discovery of home in another.
Improv-pieced by machine, hand-quilted with hand-stitching, appliqué, couching and clusters of buttons on top.
Batting is cotton. Binding is hand-stitched
Pocket hangers on the back for easy wall hanging.
Care:
If necessary, hand wash sparingly in cold water using gentle detergent. Air dry or tumble dry low. Iron carefully to maintain shape and desired flatness. To keep fabric colors from fading, hang in a place out of direct sunlight.
